The House of Hope is dedicated to providing the best services possible to those with the fewest resources. We provide quality programming to help those who can least afford it, by offering the opportunity to recover from the disease of addiction. An estimated 1,170,000 individuals in Ohio are in need of substance abuse treatment for alcohol and/or drug dependence. In 2017, unintentional drug overdoses caused the deaths of 4,854 Ohio residents, the highest number to date. These numbers speak to the need for access to treatment.
Celebration of Hope 2019 – Celebrating 60 years of Service, an event that promotes the power of recovery from alcohol and other drugs. In 2019, this event will raise awareness regarding the alcohol and drug addiction epidemic in Ohio and Franklin County and will feature Chris Herren, well-known former NBA player, a person in long term recovery and wellness advocate, as the event’s keynote speaker. Celebration of Hope is the annual fundraising event for House of Hope, helping to support services not covered through other funding sources.
Celebration of Hope is the single largest fundraising event for the House of Hope. We recognize the need to share the message of recovery very openly in the community. The opiate crisis has thrown into sharp relief the widespread nature of addiction. The community needs to know that help is available, and that recovery is possible, and we believe our message is one that needs to be shared.
In the past 12 years, House of Hope has continually increased capacity in its program, whether that be through additional recovery housing beds, increased outpatient services or the new Medically Assisted Treatment Program; all of which has been driven by the demand in the community for more addiction and recovery services. We are in the unique position of being able to offer a long-term continuum of services to the people we serve. As we face the large number of people in need of treatment, we are committed to making a difference in the community.
